Airport pickup at Chennai. Drive to Thiruthani for the first abode, evening darshan. Overnight Thiruthani or Chennai.
Drive to Kumbakonam. Darshan at Swamimalai, the abode where Murugan taught his father. Overnight Kumbakonam.
Long drive west to Palani. Evening at leisure. Overnight Palani.
Morning darshan at Palani Murugan temple, including the winch or rope car ascent. Overnight Palani.
Drive to Madurai. Darshan at Pazhamudircholai, set in the hills north of the city. Overnight Madurai.
Darshan at Thiruparankundram, the first of the six abodes. Afternoon free for Meenakshi Amman temple. Overnight Madurai.
Drive south to Thiruchendur on the coast, the sixth abode. Overnight Thiruchendur or Tuticorin.
Morning seashore darshan, then drive to the airport for departure.
